CPD for School Staff

Half Moon offers an annual programme of Continuing Professional Development for all school staff (teachers, TAs, Learning Mentors) and educators. We also coordinate the Tower Hamlets Secondary Drama Forum and have started a new Tower Hamlets Primary Drama Forum.

We offer key sessions throughout the year, delivered by theatre and drama professionals and planned in partnership with Julia Williams, Drama teacher at George Green’s School in Tower Hamlets. We also create bespoke packages for schools keen to have sessions delivered in their settings for all their staff.

Our sessions aim to: extend the quality and breadth of drama being used within the core curriculum, as distinct subject delivery and as a tool for cross-curricular work or effective classroom management; and address school development plans by providing specific training for teachers as identified in on-going appraisal within the performance review process.

Schools or educators interested in the delivery of sessions at their own setting for a number of staff, please contact us.

CPD at Half Moon

Wherever possible, the sessions we programme at Half Moon are free to staff at schools in Tower Hamlets. A limited number of places are also available at each session for staff from schools in other boroughs and educators working in London at a fee of £45+VAT for a half-day or twilight session and £90+VAT for a full day. Reduced fees are offered to PGCE students or teachers at partner schools of our academic partners (RCSSD, UEL, Queen Mary, IOE, LSBU).

Please contact us for further details.
