Half Moon has a strong track record of working with higher education institutions, delivering bespoke training and short courses to enhance curriculum particularly in the areas of artform/theatre development; applied theatre practice (community and theatre for specific purposes) and post-graduate teacher training. Presently, Half Moon delivers with the University of East London two curriculum modules with second year BA students: Public Projects Performance and Theatre for Young Audiences. With Rose Bruford College, the company is working with year 3 acting students delivering their final year New Writing Festival. Half Moon and Queen Mary University of London are in the process of setting up a collaborative PhD placement and are in the first year of a 3 year programme with Central School of Speech and Drama in a major Arts and Humanities Research Council funded project - Place, Performance and Community.
We have ongoing arrangements with partner colleges to take students on placement.
