Last week, Half Moon took a trip to Victoria Park for All Points East In the NBHD, a free community festival in collaboration with Tower Hamlets Council.
Over the course of three days, we saw a whole collection of vibrant stories told by four different performers.
On day one, Theatre of Widdershins shared two adaptations of Grimms fairy tales, The Hare and The Hedgehog and The Many-Legged Musicians of Bremen, with beautiful puppets that had the audience captivated.
Day two was spent with our friends at Half a String Theatre, who took us along on their adventure to find the pinky-est pink paint in the world with their fun family show, The Lost Colour.
The last day of the festival saw the bandstand taken over by David Gibb’s Family Jukebox, a theatrical musical sing-a-long experience that had everyone tapping their feet.
Between these spectacular performances, we had the wonderful Amari Harris hosting with an array of stories and games that our young audience loved taking part in.
We had a great time at All Points East! It was a fantastic warm-up for the new season starting at Half Moon at the end of this month, and we can’t wait to welcome audiences back soon!
