Half Moon closes to the public

Due to the impact of the England-wide lockdown effective 5 November 2020, Half Moon has closed to the public but our on-going youth activity will move principally online. Our in-person programme for schools and children’s centre will continue as does our youth service intervention programme, Next Steps. This we are able to do, in line with government guidance and as we have a rigorous and living risk assessment in response to published Covid-19 safety guidelines and a Visit England ‘Good to Go’ kitemark in place.

Our performance programme and our gallery programme continues online, details are on our What’s On page. We are also able to continue our wide-range of artform development / filming for performance programme behind closed doors.

Unfortunately, at present, all our performances, both at Half Moon and on tour, continue to be suspended until further notice.

Going forward, our COVID-19 prevention measures continue and include the following:

For all activity at Half Moon we will:

• Clean spaces and public areas including toilets in between all sessions / activity;
• Implement guidance on how to move around the building supported by enhanced signage including promoting the use of our unique QR code to support NHS Test and Trace;
• Provide antibacterial gel and enhanced handwashing facilities;
• Ensure that face coverings / masks are worn in line with guidance;
• Maintain and promote social distance where possible;
• Minimise the number of people coming in and out of the building;
• Use temperature screening for those coming into the building;
• Ensure that anyone with COVID-19 symptoms does not come to the building and follows government guidance regarding Test and Trace.

At Half Moon, we aim to be as safe as possible for everyone. With your support we are confident that our many participants and stakeholders can safely enjoy coming to Half Moon. We cannot stop COVID-19 but if we work together, we can minimise the risks.
