We’re delighted to announce that Boys Don’t has been nominated for an Offie award for Best Production For Young People (Ages 8+). Congratulations!
The Offies (The Off West End Theatre Awards) are here to recognise and celebrate the excellence, innovation and ingenuity of independent theatres across London.
The Offies cover a calendar year and the winners are announced in the spring of the following year – so there’s a bit of a wait to find out if it’s won!
Boys Don’t explores what happens when boys show their feelings and is written from the real-life experiences of the male cast.
In partnership with Half Moon Theatre, and Apples and Snakes (South East), Boys Don’t features some of the UK’s leading poets and performers in repertory, including Justin Coe, Hadiru Mahdi, Tanaka Mhishi and Steve Tasane. It is the latest work from Papertale, directed by Rosemary Harris.
Here’s what the press have said about Boys Don’t:
“Has the power to reach those who often feel alienated from the arts scene”
(**** Live Theatre UK)
“A poignant and very compelling piece of acting”
(Susan Elkin, Sardines Magazine)
