Applications for Half Moon’s first ever Winter Arts Fair are now open! We’re looking for local artists, illustrators and makers selling handmade, original artworks and crafts that are family friendly. If that sounds like you, then we want to hear from you!
Winter Arts Fair
Saturday 2 December 2017, 10am – 5pm
Half Moon Theatre (43 White Horse Road, E1 0ND)
This is the first time that Half Moon Theatre, the UK’s leading small-scale young people’s venue and touring company, has held a Winter Arts Fair. It offers a unique opportunity for artists to sell their work directly to the public, and for the public to purchase unique, affordable items, while supporting independent artists in the local creative economy.
Running alongside the Winter Arts Fair will be a series of family friendly events in the venue’s theatre space. Three of our Youth Theatre groups will have their end of term performances in the morning and from 2pm there will be talks and live drawings by children’s book illustrators (whose work is currently featured in the Gallery @ Half Moon exhibition Pictures at Play). One of Half Moon’s Patrons, Linda Marlowe (EastEnders’ Sylvie Carter), will also be reading from some of the featured books.
