We’re thrilled to announce that Antonia Kemi Coker and Faye Weerasinghe will play Nelly and Titch in Dust, our new co-production with Z-arts, that opens at Half Moon on Wednesday 18 March for 10 performances, before touring to seven further venues across the UK
Written by acclaimed award-winning children’s author Laura Dockrill (Darcy Burdock book series and Big Bones), Dust uses exciting puppetry and exquisite poetic language to explore a heartfelt story about love, loss, identity and memory.
With haunting music by Hugo White of The Maccabees, this striking and emotional new play is a joyous reminder about just how playful the world can be.
Antonia Kemi Coker is a performer with over 25 years’ experience working nationally and internationally in West End theatre, radio, young people’s theatre, forum, street and sight specific work. She was originally a member of the Half Moon Youth Theatre many years ago as a teenager and is very happy to be back and working on this production of Dust.
Faye Weerasinghe trained at RCSSD and is also a member of The National Youth Theatre. She is thrilled to be making her professional debut at The Half Moon Theatre. Credits whilst training include: Romeo and Juliet, Merrily We Roll Along, A Midsummer Night’s Dream and Dracula.
Dust is a Half Moon and Z-Arts co-production: an exciting collaboration by the UK’s leading small-scale young people’s venue and touring company and Manchester’s unique and award-winning venue for children and families.
