Half Moon renovation – Up the scaffolding

On Wednesday 9 October, Director, Chris Elwell took a trip up the extensive scaffolding surrounding the building with David Mott the site manager to have a look at the progress the team have made.

Most of the old paintwork has been softened with a stripping  chemical and steamed off and several areas of the render have been assessed before further repair work begins.

The views from the roof are fantastic, with many landmarks visible including Canary Wharf, The Shard, St Paul’s Cathedral, The Gherkin, St Dunstan’s church, The Olympic Stadium and ArcelorMittal Orbit sculpture.
