Crowded wins award

Crowded Offies FINALIST montage 768x768 1

We are thrilled to announce that Crowded, our co-production with Apples and Snakes, has won the Best Production for Young People Aged 13+ at the OFFIES, the Off West End Theatre Awards.

The awards were presented in a ceremony at the Battersea Arts Centre, on Sunday 8 March 2020.

This is the second time that Half Moon has won the award and the third time that we have been a finalist in the Best Production for Young People Aged 13+ category. In 2018 What Once Was Ours, a co-production with Zest Theatre, won the award and  Off the Grid was nominated in 2019.

Developed in direct response to the growing number of teenagers in the UK struggling with their mental health, Crowded told the story of ordinary young people whose anxiety, depression and desire lead to harmful and destructive behaviours. It was written and performed by three inspiring poet performers: Desree, Laura Rae and Slam the Poet, with additional text by Rosemary Harris.

We are immensely proud of Crowded and the wonderful team of people who helped us create this award-winning show. Thank you, we couldn’t have done it without you all.
