Half Moon produces a vast and diverse programme of activity throughout the year for young people (check out our Creative Learning Programmes or our Professional Productions pages for examples). We can only produce this work by operating a large freelance pool of artists, including writers, directors, actors, music makers, dancers, designers, composers, technical staff and drama practitioners.
What we offer:
We recruit both on an ad hoc basis, when there is a skills gap in our pool, and also hold a recruitment day around once per year. We also now do much of our recruitment through the Participatory Arts London (PAL) Freelancers’ Network marketplace events which take place at the end of the autumn and summer terms. Details can be found here.
We look for artists from all disciplines, not just drama, (i.e. music, dance, design, visual art) at different stages of their career. We are particularly keen to work with people who have an understanding of applied theatre/arts practice within educational and community settings. If, after reading these pages, you feel that you have something to offer us and we have something to gain from working with you, please contact us with your CV.
An enhanced DBS (formerly CRB) check will be requested of all successful applicants to jobs at Half Moon.
From time to time we hold formal casting, so look out for our casting specs which we will send out to agents and post on Spotlight Interactive. Alternatively check out our website or follow our social media feeds which will advertise any opportunities that arise.
