Half Moon is committed to providing quality work experience opportunities in order to help those interested in a career in the arts gain some experience and understand the industry or a role more clearly. As a small organisation we are unable to host more than one placement at a time and do limit who we consider for a placement at Half Moon. Please ensure you fit one of the categories listed below before contacting us regarding work experience.
Half Moon is only able to host work experience for young people from Secondary Schools and Colleges in Tower Hamlets on one week work experience placements through Tower Hamlets Education Business Partnership or for young people who attend one of our Youth Theatres. We also offer work experience placements to students who have attended our Careers in Theatre Programme.
Half Moon has occasional placements for undergraduate and postgraduate students from relevant courses (such as applied theatre, community theatre etc). We have long-standing relationships with the Royal Central School of Speech and Drama, Rose Bruford College, University of East London, Queen Mary University of London and Goldsmiths University of London. We are also developing relationships with London South Bank University, Mountview, the Institute of Education and Guildhall School of Music and Drama. We currently prioritise placement students from these institutions and it is very unlikely that we will accept requests for placements from students studying at other institutions.
If you fit into either of the categories above and wish to be considered for a placement, please contact us.
