The Lost Property Library

An interactive storytelling performance, where the smallest object can spark an epic adventure.

The smoke clears on the once-crowded platform and, as the train disappears into the distance, only one figure remains: the Station Master. He stands waiting to welcome you into the Lost Property Library, a magical archive where misplaced objects, forgotten memories and untold stories are carefully gathered and kept safe.

All around you, trunks and suitcases overflow with curious items, each one holding the spark of an extraordinary tale just waiting to be discovered. Above your head, a simple sign gently reminds you: “Please look after these stories.”

Step inside and become part of the adventure.

Created by Wrongsemble, an award-winning theatre company known for crafting imaginative, inclusive experiences for young audiences, this interactive performance invites you to explore, play and create stories together. Using puppetry, music and playful storytelling, Wrongsemble transforms the smallest objects into epic journeys filled with wonder and heart.

Perfect for the whole family, especially young explorers aged 3–9, this enchanting show celebrates creativity, curiosity and the power of imagination.

Originally commissioned by The British Library and supported by The Leeds Storytelling Festival, it promises a memorable theatrical experience where every story matters.

About our work

Our productions don’t educate, as such, advocating instead that there are not always correct answers or solutions when talking about or addressing prejudice, social injustices, equality and social inclusion.

Like any good story, The Lost Property Library allows the audience to join up their own dots, think creatively and ask questions so they can discover their own answers to complex issues, even at a very early age through, experiencing a high-quality theatre adventure.
