Educators
Half Moon provides theatre-based particpatory and performance projects for young people from 0 - 17 in both formal education and informal settings. We work within Early Years, Primary, Secondary and Special schools, both during and after school hours. Projects aim to complement and enrich curriculum learning in the broadest sense. Each project is unique and often combines drama with other artforms such as puppetry, video technology, music, art and dance - led by our speciialist tutors.
Each project begins with a visit to the school/centre, to establish aims and objectives. Projects are carefully monitored and evaluated by the Half Moon team. Half Moon presents session plans, evaluations, by both the tutors and students, and photographic evidence of the process.
Half Moon facilitates half-termly, termly residencies and intensive one-week projects. Our partnership schools/colleges often request further residencies with different year groups or developmental work with the same groups.
The work is often supported by training sessions for the teachers and support staff involved and can also include parents/carers. All staff who deliver the programmes have Enhanced CRB status. Projects are planned by our teams in negotiation with centres and are costed appropriately.
For information on all our work please call the Projects Manager on 020 7709 8908 or email here
