Eshu at the Crossroads

A mixed-media digital collage against a textured, light peach background. In the center, a photographic cutout of a person with short hair is captured mid-air, jumping joyfully with arms wide open, wearing black pants and a striped black-and-grey short-sleeved shirt. The surrounding elements are stylized illustrations in black and bright orange-red: to the left, a sketched rooster stands on a weather vane with directional arrows; flanking both sides are large, symmetrical, abstract plant-like structures with bold black leaves and vibrant orange-red foliage at the base.

An enchanting tale of choice, trickery and adventure. Inspired by Yorubic culture, mythology and storytelling, this family adventure combines dance, puppetry and live performance to create a vibrant theatrical journey of myth, music and imagination.

A Message for the Future

A wide-angle, low-light shot of an immersive sensory theatre production for children. In the center, a performer wearing a vibrant, geometric green, yellow, and blue patterned jumpsuit leans forward, holding a silver hand mirror down toward a seated young boy. The boy looks up at the performer in wonder, holding a small glowing orb. Other young children sit nearby on colorful mats and cushions under soft, multicolored lighting, surrounded by a whimsical, texturized set with glowing neon accents.

Step into a magical future garden and meet a punk poet Dandelion, a rock ’n’ roll Minibeast and an operatic super Herb. Engaging sight, sound, touch and smell, this joyful, interactive musical experience explores our connection with nature and its unsung heroes.

FREE Family Fun Day

An interactive indoor theatre setting where several young children and adults are gathered on a dark floor. In the center, long, stretchy bands of vibrant fabric in red, yellow, blue, and green radiate outwards like a web. A young girl in a red plaid dress and red heart-shaped sunglasses sits near the foreground, looking up with a smile. Other children crawl or sit beneath the colorful bands while parents and instructors look on and participate by holding the ends of the fabric.

Half Moon’s FREE family fun day returns for an eleventh year with another selection of fun community events to get involved in. Throughout the day, we will have pop-up storytelling performances, music and movement workshops, plus art and craft activities for everyone to get involved with. Dip into one or two events or stay for the whole day!

Rabbit and Rey and the Lost Things

A vibrant, dynamic anime-style cartoon illustration against a textured teal and light green background. In the center, a joyful character with large round glasses and a pink beanie leaps through the air, holding the hand of a large, stitched pink toy rabbit with big eyes. The character wears a yellow jacket, red trousers and a massive, overflowing brown backpack. Various retro items spill out from the bag or dangle below them, including a classic handheld video game console, a toy dinosaur, a small dog, a compass and a yo-yo trailing small colorful buttons.

Ever felt like the world is playing hide and seek with your stuff? One moment it’s there, the next it’s gone. Meet Rey, an imagination expert and glorious misplacer of things, and Rabbit, a wise and loyal bunny who is always there when the world feels too much.

A bold, funny and heart-tugging adventure combining puppetry, visual storytelling and imagination.
