Come Along With Me

by Danni Leach

29 April-10 July 2024

A striking collection of colourful and playfully dramatic images that use pencil, ink, paint, collage and photography to springboard you into your own creative adventure.

Come Along With Me invites you on a journey of partially told adventures, fragments of stories and glimpses of the unusual. It asks you to imagine what has happened and what might happen next – what stories will you then tell? What do you notice and who do you meet along the way? Do you see small simple details, such as a well-formed leaf, or do you get carried away into wild fantasies?

Danni Leach is a London-based illustrator, designer and maker with a strong preference for vibrant colours, bold lines and creating a harmony between traditional materials and digital practice. Her artwork is influenced by a love of books, storytelling, silliness and real-life adventures in nature – most notably woods and water. She has a particular interest in children’s picture books, fun, mess and paint.

Previous exhibitions include London’s 100sqft, The Dray Walk Gallery, Islington Arts Factory, The View Finder Gallery and Colchester’s The Hay Gallery.

Interact with the exhibition

Beneath some of the artworks there are chalk boards for visitors – young and older – to make their own responses, or leave their own creative imprints for others to enjoy. There is also a specially created Gallery Trail for children to complete.

School and community groups can visit free of charge by pre-booking and can use the exhibition to support Arts Award Discover and Explore. Contact Androulla on 020 7709 8908 or youth@halfmoon.org.uk for more information.
