Past, Present and Future

by Fi Harrison

20 April-10 July 2023

“Nostalgia is a resource that people can use to cope with life’s challenges”
Bettina Zengel: Research Fellow of Psychology, University of Southampton

East London based graphic designer and illustrator Fi Harrison has created a bold and vibrant fusion of work from a Generation X perspective that is inspired by pop culture, Geek-Art and restorative nostalgia.

Past, Present and Future offers a playful, mischievous and subversive eye on the every day, underpinned with a wistful philosophical sentiment.

Through a sequence of five themed ‘series’, we are taken on a journey that asks the observer to revisit the visually familiar and ask questions about how expectations of contemporary images can be both challenged and challenging, and how they can be reworked to reflect current affairs.
