Two Local Schools
by students from the Bishop Challoner Catholic Federation of Schools (E1) and St Paul’s Way Trust School (E3)
12 July – 1 September 2017
Two of Half Moon’s very local secondary schools, Bishop Challoner Catholic Federation of Schools and St Paul’s Way Trust, were proud to present an exciting display of artwork drawn from the very best of their 2017 GCSE Art students. Each piece was created in response to their examination course, as they interpreted the world around them ‘making marks’.
The students drew on a wide range of artists – their practice, style and interpretation of themes – as their inspiration. Their work was, as a result, individual, sensitive, dynamic and full of expression as they all created a personal approach using different mediums including water colour, oils and charcoal.
Making Marks was part of Half Moon’s on-going commitment to showcase the work of local art students from across our home borough of Tower Hamlets and was presented in collaboration with members of the Tower Hamlets Artist Teachers Network.
